Besides the main functions of NetSuite, NetSuite custom records are the building blocks to customizing your NetSuite environment to meet the specific needs of your business.
And today, I will guide you how to add a sublist on a custom record as below:
First, you create a saved search that obtains the results that you want to show on your custom records.
Then you add the search as a custom sublist to your custom record type.
To add the search as a custom sublist to a custom record type:
1. Go to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types. Click the name of the record type to which you want to add the sublist.
2. Click the Sublists subtab.
In the Search column, select the saved search.
In the Label column, enter a label for the subtab where you want the search results to display.
(When the Multi-Language feature is enabled) In the Translation column, enter one or more translations of the label. You can enter up to 50 characters in the Translation column.
In the Tab column, select the custom subtab where you want this sublist to display.
3. In the Field column, select the field by which you are filtering this sublist. And check to Show in list box that you want to display the list on the sublist.
4. Click Save.
Congratulations! You've now added a sublist to your custom record. This enhanced customization will streamline your NetSuite experience, making it more intuitive and efficient.
